How to use it. Print one copy per guest. Everyone marks one nominee per category before the show starts. Circle winners as they are announced and total the correct picks at the end. One point per correct pick, 25 points available.

Set a deadline. Collect ballots before the first award. It only works if nobody can change a pick after the show starts.

Add a tiebreaker. Ask everyone to guess how many awards The Pitt wins on the night. Closest guess breaks a tie without a coin flip.

Two optional house rules that make it better. Weight the big categories at two points each if your group has strong opinions, so the night stays competitive through the final award. And give anyone who has seen none of the nominees one free category to pick on vibes alone, which keeps casual guests in the game instead of checked out by the third award.

Where paper starts to hurt

Printed ballots are great for a small group in one room. They stop working in three specific situations.

Someone has to tally. With more than eight ballots, one person spends the ceremony doing arithmetic instead of watching. That person is usually the host.

Remote friends are out. A printed ballot cannot include the friend watching from another city, which is where half of most group chats live.

Nothing enforces the deadline. If a ballot comes in late, you are relying on the honor system in a game with prizes.

What time do the Emmys start? 8:00 PM ET on Monday, September 14, 2026, on NBC and Peacock. Red carpet coverage runs before that.

Why is it on a Monday? The ceremony moved off its usual Sunday slot for this year's broadcast schedule. Plan for a weeknight party, which usually means an earlier food service and a shorter guest list.

How many categories are on the ballot? 25, covering everything handed out during the main telecast. Craft and technical awards are presented separately at the Creative Arts Emmys and are not on this ballot.

Do I need an account to download it? No. The PDF is free and open to anyone. An account is only for the app version that keeps score for you.
